Lorna Jane works with individuals and organizations to manage and embrace transition. Personal and professional experience has grounded her in the belief that the often uncomfortable space between ‘what is’ and ‘what could be’ is fertile ground for creativity, learning, and growth.

After 18 years of management and leadership experience in the not-for profit arts sector, Lorna Jane is focusing on supporting the emerging and evolving needs of small to midsize nonprofit organizations, as well as helping individuals to realign their work life to reflect their developing self.

“Chaos is not simply a mess. Rather it is the primal state of pure energy to which a person or organization must return for every new beginning.” William Bridges

Coach

Lorna Jane offers coaching to individuals, teams, and organizations who are navigating a transition such as a job search, career pivot, on-boarding a new leader, or a shift in organizational direction. Whether the transition is happening to you, or you are making it happen, uncertain times are often messy, even paralyzing. Instead of rushing, or merely tolerating this time, Lorna Jane works with the client to use that messy energy to explore what’s coming to an end, raise awareness about what’s unfolding, and to create potential pathways.

Lorna Jane’s coaching certification is through the Gestalt International Study Center, and is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation.

Leadership Search/Interim Leadership

The time between leaders can be fertile ground, rather than a time to rush or merely tolerate.

Through the transitions model, Lorna Jane partners with organizations to bring intention, purpose, and meaning to the space between leaders through both Leadership Search, and Interim Leadership. This unique opening in the normal way of doing things can be a rich space for discovery, inquiry, creativity, courageous conversation, and for new and frequently marginalized voices to be heard.

“Be like a tree. Stay grounded, keep growing, and know when to let go.”
